We were lucky with the weather, but more than that the unforgettable experience of Tasmania
helped us a lot. We chose to paddle less intensively: 8-10 hours a day in average; and hence
were less exhausted and could enjoy the coast line. 36 days passed quickly. I would rather
prefer to spend a few more weeks exploring the stunning coasts of this beautiful and diverse
island. Yet I’m not sure my kids would recognize me then. More than all I enjoyed paddling
with my wife Inna (at last!), who is an amazing partner and a very strong kayaker.
Mentally it was not easy for me. Unlike Tasmania, this time I knew we will make it.
Sometimes it was hard to seat in the cockpit 10 hours when I felt like there was no real
challenge that pushes me forward. You either need a real challenge, or you should land
after 6 hours.:-)

Circumnavigate Ireland was the first expedition we wanted to do. As it happen, we did Tasmania first. We knew that we can do
it and the only thing might prevent a successful trip is injury.
Therefore we have decided to open the trip to other paddlers. Gadi and Inna joined us: Gadi paddled 18 days (about half of Ireland)
and Inna paddled the next 10 days. We did the rest by ourselves.
We thought that we can only teach Gadi and Inna, but we also gain a lot by them joining us.
Like any trip.... this one had tough moments as well as good ones. But shortly after finishing the parts I tend to remember are only
the good moments; the amazing cliffs and caves. The beautiful landscape and the wonderful people we met along the way.
It was Great!!!
